Feeling Guilty
I am starting to feel super guilty about these two.
I am not taking the cat home. Period, end of story.
Sometimes I start to feel really bad and then I go where her liter box is kept
and get over it. Then I go see her sleeping with TJ and the guilt starts over.
Roxy on the other hand. . .This is a bad situation. It turns
out America does not like Rottweiler’s. Our home insurance literally does not
cover you if you have one, some camp and hiking places will not allow them. And
I am not sure if our HOA will allow her or not. I happen to believe that there
are no bad dogs, just bad owners. I also happen to believe that we should not judge
things by the coat they wear but, by how they act. And we LOVE our puppy, she
is a good girl. That being said the very sad decision was made that she will
not be coming home with us. The silver lining is that I have a good friend here
who is a dog person, she has 5 already. She has offered to keep Roxy and I am
sure Roxy will be very happy.
Any dog who could get this dog hating boy to lay on you is a good dog.
I am feeling so guilty about the whole situation I even let her up on the couch.
TJ and Kinley, this is where she sleeps most nights, much to my disgust.
Although as far as cats go she is pretty cool, here she is in the "barbie wire" as BJ likes to call it.

Random Pictures
To think in the states, I freak out when the kids are not in their car seats.
While Adrah was here, she worked a lot with SF and Roxy. She thinks she may make a good therapy dog to help SF with her gait. They are getting to be good buddys.
Another story of haves and have-nots. Here is BJ at this really nice hardware store pointing out a "wrencher".
And the have-nots. We asked Angelo to get us a extension cord. But, in typical Angelo style this is what was made. He picked up pieces from the street and handmade an extension cord. Pretty talented.

New Security
For any of you who may be concerned about our security around here, not to fear, we have these two.
BJ is the tough guy around here, check out the picture of him and Roxy.
The other day he was hitting Roxy, again, and I told him I was going to sell him to the zoo (I know not nice, but I did) and he promptly said to me "then I will hit the animals".

Our New Baby
We have a new baby at our house.
Not to worry, it is furry and has 4 legs.
Still Justin is wondering if I have lost my mind!
...And to ease the mind of those of you still thinking we may adopt a real baby while we are here. Not going to happen. Haiti has very strict rules and would not allow a family with 6 kids to adopt...ever. Period. End of story and we just feel blessed to get to love on so many children while we are here. We are supposed to go to the orphanage again tomorrow and are so looking forward to it.
Back to the dog, most of our neighbors don't have guards or barbed wire like we do, they just have really mean dogs who snarl at you when you walk by. We thought we may want a dog too. We looked at Rotweillers yesterday, but the owner would not even let their parents out of the cage "because they may not be nice to the kids". So we decided on this guy...
Doesn't she look ferocious!
We decided to name her Talkeetna. Before Justin and I were even married we wanted a huge dog named Talkeetna (a city in Alaska with a really cool name). Because she is a lot smaller than the dog we had originally imagined we will call her Tally for short. She is a 4 month old black lab. And the kids are elated!

Tomorrow I think we are going to get a cat. Justin opened a drawer in the kitchen tonight only to find one in the drawer. Gross! The C-A-T will not be joining us back in CO, in fact if you know me at all, you are shocked we are even considering it! I just hope we can find a good mouser.
