Baby Hannah Update

This little girl has done a 180 in the last few days. She is laughing, talking and my personal favorite, giving kisses. When she is feeling really happy she will grab my face and plant a huge open mouth kiss on me. I love it.
SF and Hannah.
IS and Hannah at the beach.
We had to buy a basket on the beach for Hannah to sleep in as the night before she started rolling over and I did not want her to roll on the sand or anything.
She is still using her feeding tube, but is starting to take more food by mouth. However, when she does eat by mouth she gets a really bad cough. I am really worried about her aspirating.
Maybe the worst picture ever of me, but I love her "oh I am so happy to see you face."

The Feeding Clinic

Just some pictures from the Feeding Clinic this week.
I love the ladies who cook the food, they do a beautiful job and work so hard.
This week I bought the beans without Roselie, the ladies quickly informed me I had bought "bad beans". Oops. The kids spent a while picking the "bad beans" out of the pile.
Johnny, sharing the spiritual message.

Some of the kids eating. You know what I love about it, I never hear; she got more, he got his first, his has more sauce, mine is cold, give me more etc, etc. Just respectful, grateful kids. So nice.

This is always one of my favorite scenes. The big kids helping the little's. I love it!
The fish head Rachel found in her beans and rice. No comment.

Baby Hannah Update

Baby Hannah has not been doing very well. Refusing to eat, loosing weight like crazy, having high fevers, a UTI etc. We think she has really severe reflux which is the root of all her issues, so the doctor decided to have us use a feeding tube in her nose until the reflux meds kick in.

Because of her severe reflux she needs to be held upright for about 45min after each feed. Which means a lot of holding since she eats every hour.

New Security

For any of you who may be concerned about our security around here, not to fear, we have these two.

BJ is the tough guy around here, check out the picture of him and Roxy.
The other day he was hitting Roxy, again, and I told him I was going to sell him to the zoo (I know not nice, but I did) and he promptly said to me "then I will hit the animals".

Mothers Day

Here is what Mothers Day looks like at our house. I had to put our little lady, Hannah, into the picture because right now she is living with us.

With all of us laying on the floor, Roxy was of course in the middle of it all.

Baby Hannah

A few more pictures of this sweet baby girl. We had her first check up the other day and she is 11 lbs, almost 5 months old and has a bad case of reflux.
Here is one where you can tell just how not well she really is. See the skin hanging off her arms and legs. For those who have never seen an umbilical hernia, here it is. She will most likely need surgery one day to fix it.

With her "take me to your leader" as we used to call it on SF, hairdo.

A Buggy Day

Today was buggy, literally.
We found a scorpion in the house. It looks like Roxy got the best of it and then brought it in. But, none the less it was in the house.

Then a tarantula outside. Johnny said he sees them regularly at night outside. He said he killed this one last night. It was clearly very maimed but still it was here!

Then while I was putting BT to bed tonight, a little fly thing literally flew up in my nose and proceeded to fly around in there until I gagged ad threw him up. I know too much information, but it happened.
